The Wizards exercised their rookie-team options for next season on five players selected in the first round of the 2024 and 2025 drafts, the team announced press release.
Here are the five players, along with the salaries they will earn in 2027/28 now that their options have been picked up:
- Alex Sar (fourth year, $15,611,798)
- Tre Johnson (third year, $9,061,680)
- Bub Carrington (fourth year, $7,257,729)
- Kishon George (fourth year, $5,435,892)
- Will Riley (third year, $3,864,000)
Each of the five players already earned guaranteed contracts this season. Now that their fourth-year options have been exercised, Sarr, Carrington and George will be eligible for rookie scale extensions next offseason.
