Ospreys fell to a heavy loss 35-19 in United Rugby Championship thanks to the attack in the second half Lions in South Africa.
The hosts dominated early and took the lead when Erich Cronje headed in a corner.
But Kieran Williams and Efan Daniel crossed to give the Welshmen a 12-10 lead at half-time.
However, winger PJ Botha scored immediately after the restart following a disputed kick-out and the Lions never looked back.
Morne Brandon, Boeta Chamberlain and two tries from Kelly Mpeku gave them good command before Ross Moriarty’s consolation.
Ospreys co-captain Keelan Giles told Premier Sports: “I think we were pleased to be in front at half-time and started quite well. But credit to the Lions, once they got into the red zone they were hard to stop.”
