The weekend is here and it’s one of the best times of the year for sports.

It was a great win for Iowa last week in Ann Arbor, but Ohio State won’t overlook the Hawkeyes coming off a win over Michigan. Two of Iowa’s touchdowns came on special teams and then the last second play as time expired. I don’t think they’ll have the same heroics this week.

The meeting of two service academies usually means sub. The clock is always ticking with both teams relying on the ground game and both teams are used to practicing against the option as they run it themselves.

The San Diego Padres have been hot, but facing Jacob Misiorowski in Game 1 of the NLDS is a tall order. The Padres haven’t upped their pitching since playing the Cubs in the wild card round, and I’m picking the Brewers to get the opener.

The Titans have been scary offensively and I don’t expect that to change much with a trip to Baltimore next.

The Lions host the Panthers in Week 4, and Carolina is dealing with a slew of injuries to key players on both sides of the ball. Look for Detroit’s offense to put up a bunch of points en route to a win on Sunday night.
