UFC Vegas 124 is less than 24 hours away…
It all goes down this weekend (Saturday, November 7, 2026) at META APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the main event, the top 15 heavyweights clash on short notice Waldo Cortes-Acosta always takes on exciting Johnny Walker.
We have a weekly series at MMAmania.com called “Weekend Lock,” where we share one bet we predict in the desert of “Sin City” when the chaotic dust settles. We also want to hear what our readers think (that’s you!), so tell us your most confident UFC Vegas 124 Betting Lock in the comments section below (see all UFC Vegas 124 odds here).
Summary of last week: Scales Luana Santos and Now the saints definitely fought to a decision … in a terrible fight. Still, it’s a lockout win of the weekend. Let’s go.
Let’s keep rolling below:
Former UFC Strawweight title challenger Tatiana Suarez returns against a former title challenger Stack Jandiroba In the main event of UFC Vegas 124.
This week I’m locking in Suarez’s moneyline at (-205).
I still firmly believe that Suarez is one of the best strawweights on the planet.
Yes, he was totally out Weili Zhang his first UFC title shot in It wasn’t particularly competitive and the former champion exposed some serious holes in Suarez’s game.
But here’s the thing: Zhang is one of the greatest female fighters of all time.
Losing him doesn’t suddenly mean Suarez isn’t elite. In fact, I still think Suarez beats almost everyone else in the division.
And that includes Jandiroba.
Suarez has the best wrestling in women’s MMA, averaging 4.52 takedowns per 15 minutes. He is physically strong, unrelenting in his pressure and has the ability to dictate exactly where the fight takes place.
This is a problem for Jandiroba.
The 38-year-old Brazilian is an outstanding wrestler himself, but his 73 percent defense will be tested against someone with Suarez’s wrestling credentials.
And while Jandiroba is dangerous at the back, Suarez has never conceded in his professional career. That doesn’t mean he’s immune to statements, but it certainly gives me confidence that he can navigate Jandiroba’s dangerous guard without getting caught.
Also, there is a difference between being a great wrestler and being a great wrestler.
Jandiroba is exceptional at finding submissions and benefiting from scrums, but Suarez’s ability to secure takedowns, establish dominance and maintain top control is what separates him from most of the division.
In addition, Suarez has already bounced back nicely from the loss to Zhang by defeating him Amanda Lemos and submission Loopy Godinez in his last two outings.
He’s still improving, still dangerous, and still in the title picture.
Betting on women’s MMA is always a risk, and Jandiroba is no joke.
He is one of the top performers in the division and has the ability to turn a single scramble into an opportunity to finish a fight. He’s also never finished, so it would be silly to expect Suarez to just run through him.
There is also the possibility that the fight breaks down, forcing Suarez to shoot for a long time, where he is considerably less comfortable.
Still, I trust Suarez’s wrestling, physicality and pace to dictate much more than Jandiroba’s submission.
I think Suarez will take down the older Brazilian repeatedly, control the action and remind everyone why she is still one of the best strawweights in the world.
Give it to me Tatiana Suarez Moneyline (-205) like this week’s “Weekend Lock”.
Suarez via TKO/KO/DQ: +1100
Suarez via submission: +650
Suarez by decision: -12o
Jandiroba via TKO/KO/DQ: +2500
By submitting Jandiroba: +750
With Jandiroba’s decision: +275
