The NFL regular season is moving quickly and we’re almost halfway through. Some teams are already at the halfway point, others will get what they got this week, but by the end of Monday, the league will be halfway through the 18-week schedule.
The league hasn’t had an undefeated team since the Vikings lost to the Lions in Week 8. Chicago looks like the team to beat in the NFC North after Monday’s impressive win over the Seattle Bears. On the AFC side, the Bills and Jaguars looked particularly impressive, while the Steelers continued to pull away from first place in the AFC South with a win over the Browns.
Week 9 brings some exciting matchups, but few have major playoff implications. The best matchup of the week is probably Bills-Vikings on Monday. Both teams want the win, but the impact on things like bridge crossings is limited. Same goes for the Packers-Patriots on Sunday.
I’m back for another week of picks and I’m off my .500 ways. This week I was 8-6 with 2-0 on high confidence picks, 6-4 on mid-range picks, and 0-2 on low confidence picks.
Just to remind you that I pick games with winners and losers, but I also offer a level of confidence. I pick the winner of each game and rank the picks based on their confidence level – high, medium, low and no. A game with three asterisks (***) indicates a game in which I will select the bet to win. Whether or not you have to assign confidence points, this will help you know where I stand with the polls. And within each group, I ordered them by confidence level.
