Moreno (9-0) took over Reginaldo Geraldo Jr. (11-2) welterweight
5th week about
Dana White Candidate Series 2026. He scored a tough unanimous decision over Geraldo Jr. to maintain his perfect record and earn a UFC contract before tying the knot.
Isaac Moreno announced the wedding the same night after earning his UFC contract at DWCS
UFC CEO Dana White admitted he battled the campaign’s matchmakers to sign Moreno. Moreno believes his distance control gave him the edge over Geraldo Jr. and also revealed he had to come up with a quick game plan after accepting the fight on 10 days’ notice.
“My distance control, quick entry and exit,” Moreno said in his post-fight interview. “We had to come up with a quick game plan for this guy because it was 10 days notice. I had to fight the weight cut. That being said, I’ve never had a problem with my gas tank and I’ve never been chin-tested. Everyone saw that I could hit and go right back to work.”
Moreno later announced that he would marry his fiancée, Luna Garcia, that evening at 9:30 p.m. “Primetime” issued an open invitation to fans to attend her wedding.
“We’re getting married today at 9:30, right after,” Moreno added. “I’m just going to let my parents know. No one knew, but I’m getting married tonight at 9:30 to my fiance. Follow us on Instagram to come. We’re packing the house, guys.”
