NBA G League Affiliate Players For 2026/27

During the offseason and preseason, NBA teams are allowed to carry 21 players, but that number must be reduced to 15 (plus three two-way players) before opening night. However, up to five players waived by teams prior to the start of the season can be designated as “partner players” and assigned to G League teams.

As we explain in more detail in our dictionary entry on topic, if an NBA player’s team designates him as an affiliate player and he signs with the G League, he is automatically assigned to that team’s NBAGL roster.

Of the 31 G League teams, 30 are directly affiliated with NBA clubs. Only the Mexico City Capitanes are not affiliates and are not allowed to have affiliate players.

Here are the affiliated players from the remaining 30 teams for the 2026/27 season tipping off on Friday:

Austin Spurs (Spurs)

Capital City Go-Go (Wizards)

Cleveland Charge (Cavaliers)

Coachella Valley Lakers (Lakers)

College Park Skyhawks

Delaware Blue Jackets (Sixers)

Grand Rapids Gold (Nuggets)

Roy Greensboro (Hornets)

Iowa Wolves (Timberwolves)

Laketown Squadron (Pelicans)

Long Island Nets (Nets)

Maine Celtics

Memphis Hustle (Grizzlies)

Motor City Cruise (Pistons)

Noblesville Boom (Pacers)

Oklahoma City Blue (Thunder)

Osceola Magic

Raptors 905 (Raptors)

Rio Grande Valley Vipers (Rockets)

Rip City Remix (Trail Blazers)

Salt Lake City Stars (Jazz)

San Diego Clippers (Clippers)

Santa Cruz Warriors

Sioux Falls Skyforce (heat)

Stockton Kings

Texas Legends (Mavericks)

Valley Suns

Westchester Knicks (Knicks)

Windy City Bulls

Wisconsin Herd (Bucks)

Note: While some G League teams have officially listed their affiliate players when announcing their rosters, many of these rosters are based on our own research.

In addition to these “partner players”, G League teams have the option to fill out their rosters with the following types of players:

  • Restitution of rights: Players whose G League rights already belonged to a team in the previous season (or were acquired in a trade from another NBAGL team).
  • G League Draft Eligible: Players who have been drafted this season The G League Draft.
  • Eligible for the NBA draft: Players who were drafted by an NBA team and signed a G League contract instead of an NBA contract.
  • A local attempt: Players who earned a shot through a local try.
  • The G League Player Pool: Players who signed contracts with the G League and went undrafted (or signed contracts after the draft). Newly signed players go through the waiver process and enter the league’s free agent pool if they go unclaimed.
  • Bilateral contract: Players who signed a two-way contract with an NBA team and were transferred to the G League.
  • The task of the NBA: Players who signed a standard contract with an NBA team and were assigned to the G League.
