Ultimate Fighting Championship contract.
The former two-division champion says he has one fight left on his contract and plans to make it his final UFC appearance.
Speaking to Spitfire Gym Berlin while attending the Hype Italy event, McGregor expressed his enthusiasm to compete without gloves.
Conor McGregor says he has one UFC fight left and wants to compete in bare-knuckle boxing rather than quit
“Bare knuckle; I really like bare knuckle fighting,” McGregor said. “I don’t think a bare knuckle puppet would make for a boring fight. Now I’m a mixed martial artist, maybe I’m just saying that because I had a bad time last time?” “It’s hard to beat good MMA, really good MMA. But bare knuckle is very exciting, very dangerous and I think it takes more courage to go in. So I’m looking forward to a bare knuckle fight myself,” he added.
“Notorious” said that leaving the UFC does not mean giving up combat sports.
“Big chance! Big chance! I’m leaving the gloves in this octagon for my last UFC contract, but not retiring; I’m reporting bare knuckle!”
The 38-year-old acquired a stake in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship in 2024. He also joked about the physical risks of fighting without gloves.
“Eh, teeth come and go! Like a nose, it doesn’t mean anything!” McGregor added. “You can get new teeth!”
