Tyreek Hill: NFL free agent receiver found liable for two counts of battery as jury awards estranged wife $500k | NFL News

A Miami jury has found Tyreek Hill liable on two counts of battery but not liable on eight remaining claims made by Lakeeta Vaccaro, ending the high-profile civil trial involving the NFL wide receiver and his estranged wife.

Hill, who played for the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins, was found responsible for two counts of battery — one stemming from an incident in January 2024 and another from April 2025.

The jury awarded Vaccaro $500,000 (£377,000) in damages but awarded her no damages.

The jury found Hill, 32, not responsible on eight other charges that included assault, battery and persistent domestic violence.

The trial included allegations of abuse made by Vaccaro, 30, who on the stand described instances in which Hill allegedly pulled her hair and “treated me like I was just a man.”

Hill took the stand last week and largely denied what he called “false allegations” made by Vaccaro, while saying at one point that he pushed him and “put a hole in the wall.”

Hill, wearing a dark-sleeved shirt Tuesday, hugged one of his attorneys and shook hands with others after the verdict before leaving the courtroom on his own.

It’s not immediately clear what the verdict means for Hill’s return to the NFL.

He is still recovering from a dislocated knee and torn ligaments suffered in September 2025 while with the Dolphins, but his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has indicated he could be ready to play by November.
