The Predators gave up on a two-way big man Trey JamisonMichael Scotto of Hoops Hype tweets.
Jamison, who made one pre-season appearance, signed his two-way deal in early August. Jamison injured his hand during training camp, Sportsnet’s Blake Murphy tweets.
Now, Toronto has a pair of two-way openings with only guard Malachi Smith by bilateral transaction.
Jamison was not drafted as a free agent out of UAB in 2023. He spent his first three pro seasons bouncing between the NBA and G League, signing 10-day contracts with Washington and Memphis as a rookie before also spending time on two-way deals with the Grizzlies, Pelicans, Lakers and Knicks.
In total, Jamison has played 76 regular-season NBA games since 2023, although he played just 13 times for New York in the 2025/26 season, recording 13 points and 18 rebounds in 82 minutes for the champions. The 6’10” center was a regular for the Westchester Knicks in the G League, averaging 8.3 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 blocks in 27.7 minutes per game over 31 games for New York’s NBAGL affiliate.
It’s possible that a team looking for frontcourt help would want Jamison given his NBA experience.
