Head coach Dusty May gave Lively a minor update before the game, according to Offset. The 22-year-old center, who is eligible for a rookie-scale extension until Oct. 19, has been limited to just 43 combined games over the past two years, including seven last season.
“I give it to the medical staff. I know it, he moves well” May said.”We see him regularly getting treatment, doing things on the court. There’s just a return-to-play protocol that everyone goes through. It’s a bit unique, but he’s in a good mood.
