Ultimate Fighting Championship the signing marks a huge moment for Slovakian mixed martial arts.

5th week about
Dana White Candidate Series on September 8, 2026 to earn a UFC contract.
Martin Kozak is the youngest Slovak to sign a UFC contract
Kozak looked nearly flawless in the opening round as he dropped Echols with a headbutt on the pole. When it looked like Kozak was about to finish Echols in the final seconds of the round, the referee had stopped the fight due to a low blow from the Slovakian. It took Kozak barely more than 90 seconds in the second round to finish the job with vicious speed. The 24-year-old player became the youngest Slovak to sign a UFC contract.
Kozak says he has a versatile arsenal that he puts out every time. As his lifelong dream came true, he was at a loss for words.
“That’s what I do,” Kozak said in his post-fight interview. “I keep killing my opponents with many techniques, kicks and punches. That’s what I do… All my career, my whole life I’ve dreamed of this moment. Now it finally happened. I can’t describe my feelings, it’s amazing.”
Kozak follows in his footsteps Ludovit Klein and Martin Budaythe only long-time Slovak UFC fighter. Meanwhile
Vlastislav Cepo recently made an unsuccessful UFC debut in Serbia in August.
