It’s been quite the year 2026 for Enzo Amore, especially since he hasn’t appeared on American wrestling television at all. And yet, Amore has often been in the news for being is rumored to be returning to WWE After being spotted at the Performance Center earlier this year, only for the return to failonly to offer for recent reports eventually he will return to WWE. It’s an assumption that will only continue because Combat Chosen reports that Amore, alongside TNA star Joe Alonzo, were spotted at the WWE Performance Center on Wednesday ahead of that night’s episode of NXT.
While Fightful could not confirm that Amore has signed with WWE and noted that Amore and Alonzo were just visiting, his presence on tapings sends a strong signal that Amore could be returning to WWE. Previous reports suggested that Amore would return to WWE as part of the “NXT” brand rather than WWE’s main roster, information that was surprising to some given his previous tag team with Big Cass. Cass himself returned to WWE from AEW earlier this yearand currently wrestles on Raw as an ally of the new WWE Intercontinental Champion Ethan Page.
Interestingly, WWE may not be Amore’s only option, as members of AEW say the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion “tested the waters” about possibly joining them earlier this year. It is not clear if AEW was interested in signing Amore or if the two sides had important negotiations. Earlier this year, Amore raised eyebrows when a video of him and Maven Huffman appeared to be critical of AEW. It was later revealed that the video was filmed a year before it was publishedand Amore was highly complimentary of his friend’s promotion of PAC’s death.
