Pacers acting out Tyrese Halliburton has been diagnosed with a strained left hamstring and will miss some time, sources told ESPN’s Shamsu Charanya (story via Jamal Collier of ESPN.com).
ESPN sources say a specific timeline for Halliburton’s return has yet to be determined and Pacers team doctors are still evaluating the injury. According to Tony East of Circle City Spin (Link to Twitter), head coach Rick Carlisle said during an appearance on 107.5 The Fan in Indianapolis that Halliburton will meet with those doctors, team executives and a hamstring specialist later in the afternoon.
“We’re going to hope that this hamstring thing isn’t a big problem or a long-term thing,” said Carlisle. “But like I said, we’ll know more about that later tonight.”
Halliburton returned to action this fall after missing the entire 2025-26 season while recovering from a torn Achilles he suffered during Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals. This injury was his right Achilles. In some cases, a player who sustains a serious injury to one leg may end up injuring the other leg as a result of overcompensating or favoring the healthy leg, although it is unclear whether this occurred in this case.
For what it’s worth, Halliburton hasn’t missed a beat in terms of his production since returning to action last week. In four games, he averaged 21.8 points, 9.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds in 33.0 minutes per contest, shooting .516/.370/.867.
Duplicating point guard TJ McConnell has yet to make his season debut for Indiana because of his own hamstring strain Andrew Nembhardt is considered questionable to play on Wednesday due to neck soreness as we are transferred earlier today. The Pacers would lack possession and play if all three guards were sidelined and would need players like Quenton Jackson and Pascal Siakam take increased responsibility for the crime.
