In the year With kicker Harrison Butker still struggling in 2026, the Kansas City Chiefs are adding some help.
In the form of Justin Tucker.
Buttaker has converted just 11-of-16 field goal attempts this season and was 1-for-3 in Kansas City’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks last Sunday night. Booker missed a 58-yard field goal in the first half and missed a 45-yard field goal early in the fourth quarter.
Since the start of last year, Booker has missed 15 punt attempts.
Now the team has signed Tucker to the practice squad. The former Baltimore Ravens kicker hasn’t played in an NFL game since the 2024 campaign. The Baltimore Banner has been suspended ten games by the league for alleged sexual misconduct with Baltimore-area massage therapists. Tucker denied the allegations and called them completely false, but the league suspended Ball for ten games under its personal conduct policy.
He was released by the Crows and served his ban, qualifying for reinstatement in November last year.
According to Ring’s Tom Pelissero, Kansas City has worked out several kickers, including Tucker, who went 30-of-30 in Tuesday’s workout.
For now, Butker remains on the active roster in Kansas City, but the door is now wide open for him to be replaced by the Chiefs.
And Tucker is eligible to hit Sunday if necessary.
