Tye Ruotolo predicts early submission of Christian Lee in One title fight

Despite only two professional mixed martial arts, Ruotolo is confident he can defeat Lee in the main event.

“I’ve only had two MMA fights, but I really feel like if you put me on the other side of the ring with someone closer to my size, the chances of me finishing the fight are very high,” Ruotolo said in a pre-fight interview.

The 23-year-old American presented Lee’s younger brother, Adrian LeeAt One Fight Night 35 in September 2025 with a rear-naked choke.

Ruotolo acknowledged that the result could give Christian extra motivation, but he expects the champion to approach their match professionally.

“If someone beat my brother, a big part of me would definitely want to get it back,” Ruotolo said. “But I know Christian is also a professional at what he does. He’s been a champion for a long time in the promotion, and it’s not by accident.”

Although Ruotolo is ready for a five-round fight, he is hoping for an earlier finish.

“I don’t think it’s going to be five rounds. It could be. It could definitely be a five-round war, but I think it’s much more likely to end in a couple of rounds and probably by submission,” added Ruotolo.
