of NFL Playoffs It’s back and better than ever! We’ve taken big steps this offseason to improve our NFL season projection tool, and we’re excited to share it with you.
As you may recall, the simulator powered by my NFL Projection Model can tell you just about anything you want to know about how the 2026 season might play out. The NFL Playoff Simulator can show you how likely your team is to make the playoffs. He can create opportunities to win every game. It can predict how likely a team is to win the division, the conference, and the Super Bowl. It can even determine how a win or loss could affect a team’s playoff chances or pick in the top 10 of the NFL draft.
With NFL Playoff Simulator, you have the power to simulate each and every NFL game at any time, and see how your picks affect the team’s outlook.
To be honest, the simulator’s applications are too numerous to list, so we thought we’d show you some of the awesome tools available to you so you can get a feel for what NFL Playoff Simulator is capable of.
Understanding the possibilities
Breaking news: My model has the Los Angeles Rams as Super Bowl favorites. can you believe After adding All-Pros Myles Garrett, Aaron Donald and Trent McDuffin to a team that already has All-Pros Matthew Stafford, Pukka Nacua and Davante Adams, my model favors the Rams better than any other team in the NFL.
Shocking, right?
Okay, so while everyone has the Rams as favorites going into the year, our tool can show you what that really means and how that might change this season. First, when we say the Rams are favorites to win the Super Bowl, we mean that if we simulate the season approximately 100,000 times, the Rams will come out with an 18 percent chance of winning the Super Bowl.
This means that in more than 80 percent of the seasons, another team has won. While that might seem like low odds for such a hot favorite, they aren’t, especially considering the competition. The team with only a 10 percent chance of winning it all is Josh Allen’s Buffalo Bills.
What else the tool can tell you: Even if the Rams start 1-4. (This link takes you directly to that state), you’ll still be better than a coin flip to make the playoffs in most cases. Obviously based on the information we have now. If the Rams start 1-4, the model adjusts the projection to take into account Stafford’s season-ending injury, which would result in a heavy loss for the Rams. They may not be Super Bowl favorites anymore.
The Rams face what my model believes is the fifth-toughest schedule in the NFL, so they could drop some games against quality opponents. However, their roster is so strong that it would take some significant injuries or a long stretch of poor play to knock them off their perch as Super Bowl favorites.
How to simulate the season
Another nice feature of the simulator is that, as mentioned earlier, you can simulate as many games ahead as you want to see how those wins and losses affect the team’s outlook. This can be especially insightful considering how teams fare when dealing with serious injuries.
Consider the situation with Micah Parsons of the Green Bay Packers. The Raiders will be without their star pass rusher for at least the first season. There is hope that it may come back. Week 5 against the Chicago Bears. But my model prefers to play it safe and is predicting a return closer to week 7.
Therefore, when the model is drawn on the table, it is already stated that it is absent Packer odds For the first six weeks, you can pretend the Packers don’t have Parsons every week and watch how their playoff chances change in real time.
For example, let’s say They won 2-4 in the first six gamesThey won their two easy games – against the New York Jets in Week 2 and the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3. That puts them at an 18 percent chance of making the playoffs before Parsons’ expected return in Week 7.
However, if they beat the Bears at home in Week 5 and From 3-3 to six weeksTheir chances rose to 40 percent. If you’re really optimistic about what new defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon can plan without Parsons, you can. Plan to go 4-2Calling for a Week 6 win at home against the Dallas Cowboys; Then the Packers’ playoff odds jump to around 64 percent. You get the point. With NFL Playoff Simulator you can build any scenario you want at the moment and see how the odds change.
The fight for the draft begins
As I mentioned above, the NFL Playoff Simulator isn’t just a tool for measuring teams in the playoffs. It’s also a good tool for checking drafts that might be too much to load. 2027 NFL draft class. If your team is participating in the “March for Arch” Manning or you’re hoping for another great prospect, NFL Playoff Simulator draft page Definitely one to bookmark.
And as sad as it is to say before the season has even started, the race for a top 10 pick in next year’s draft begins Sunday. No game from The opening board It has bigger implications for the draft position than when the Miami Dolphins visit the Las Vegas Raiders (the Jets are a close second with the Titans).
As you can see on our draft page, the Dolphins open the season as the favorites to secure the first overall pick, with 20 percent odds, while the Raiders’ odds sit at 7 percent. If the Dolphins lose on Sunday, as projected, their odds of being picked next April 1 will jump to 27 percent, but a win will drop them to 12 percent. It’s a bit sad to talk about draft prospects in September, but this will definitely be a favorite part of NFL Playoff Simulator over the last month or two.
We can’t stress this enough: we’ve only touched the tip of the iceberg in terms of what NFL Playoff Simulator is capable of. Our best advice is to check it out to fully understand how useful the tool is and how much fun it can be. Play around with it and let us know what your favorite benefits are for it.
