So far during their AEW stay, New Level’s Austin Creed and Kofi found themselves tied to Swerve Stricklandcompeting for the AEW World Trios Championships “The Executioner” against Adam Page and Brodido in a feud that can is soon transferred to the Texas Deathmatch. But regardless of how that saga turns out, Coffey and Creed seem to have another potential project they’re looking forward to just as much, if not more. Coffey revealed what the controversy was during the speech “The Mickey and Kenny Show” Telling Mick Foley that this potential rivalry was a big catalyst as to why he and Creed decided AEW was meant to be.
“The main reason we came was for AEW, the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega,” Coffey said. “And again, returning to manifestation, we have like a video game challenge with Bucks and Kenny and we had a big face when we were still with WWE. And I don’t know how that was allowed because they were very specific about not allowing people to interact with people from other promotions.
“So we talk about it all the time, like our dream opponents, the Young Bucks, Kenny Omega. And now that we’re here, it’s actually doable. Even on All In and then after Dynamite, we had little ships at night and I was like, Oh my God.
As Coffey mentioned, he and Creed went head-to-head with the Bucks at AEW All In. during confrontation featuring AEW tag team members Adam Copeland and Christian Cage, FTR and the Motor City Machine Guns. A month later, The Bucks would defeat FTR and Copeland and Cage to win the AEW World Tag Team Championship for the fourth timesetting up a potential tag title match between them, Kofi and Creed, should the latter team get a tag title shot in the future.
