Inter Miami v Charlotte FC: Confirmed team news and line-ups as Messi chases Golden boot

Inter Miami welcome Charlotte FC to Nu Stadium tonight as the MLS regular season comes to a close on Decision Day.

Kily González’s side have already secured their place in the play-offs, but they still have work to do if they want to finish second in the Eastern Conference.

The Herons sit in second place with 59 points from 33 games, two ahead of the New England Revolution, meaning a win tonight would guarantee them the second seed heading into the postseason.

Miami returned to winning ways last weekend with a 2-1 victory in New England, with Germany’s Berterame canceling the hosts’ opener earlier. Lionel Messi hit a winner in the 83rd minute.

The Argentine has enjoyed another remarkable campaign, scoring 26 goals in 30 La Liga appearances to move close to retaining the MLS Golden Boot.

Charlotte, meanwhile, comes to Florida in excellent form after recording back-to-back 4-0 wins against CF Montreal and Orlando City.

Dean Smith’s side are fifth in the Eastern Conference with 53 points and could still move up to fourth if the results go well.
