Michael Page has signed a multi-year contract with MF Sports after the UFC declined to renew his contract
Page (26-3) went 5-1 in the UFC, ending his tenure with a unanimous decision victory Nursultan Ruziboev in September. The promotion decided not to renew the Englishman’s contract despite his four-match winning streak.
The 39-year-old rose to prominence in Bellator with his unusual striking and highlight finishes.
“I’ve been in combat sports for a long time and I’ve had a lot of options, but MF Sports is the right fit for me,” said Page. “They do things differently, the energy is huge and the fights are big. I’m excited for this new chapter and I’m coming to show the boxing world what I can do.”
Misfits co-founder KSI welcomed Page, describing him as one of the biggest names in combat sports.
“Michael Venom Page is one of the biggest names in combat sports and everyone wanted him,” the social media star said. “For him to choose the Misfits says everything about our promotion. He’s a superstar, he’s explosive and the fans love watching him in the ring with us.”
