Australia Sevens have named their women’s and men’s teams for Friday’s Kick On 7s event in Rose Bay and the Bledisloe Cup quadruple header at Accor Stadium in Sydney on Saturday.
The women from Australia take on the Black Ferns, while the men from Australia take on the Black Ferns Fiji in three games over two days in Sydney.
The women’s team is led by star Maddison Levi, who returns after playing in the Ultimate Sevens league in the off-season.
HSBC SVNS regular series captains Isabella Nasser, Bienne Terita, Kaitlin Shave, Heidi Dennis and Faith Nathan were also named captains.
Australia Women’s Sevens coach Reg Taylor said: “It’s a great opportunity to showcase Sevens to a big crowd and a perfect shot for us.
“There is a great mix of experience and exciting new faces. You can expect a capable, energetic team that sticks together and sets the standard every time we take to the pitch as we build towards Dubai.”
“The girls worked hard in the offseason, and I’m really happy with the team.”
Australia’s men’s squad has 11 HSBC SVNS 2025-26 players, including captain Henry Hutchinson, alongside Maurice Longbottom, Josh Turner, James Turner and Ben Dowling.
Tokyo Olympian Josh Coward returns to the squad, while ACT Brumbies academy member Jarvis Orr and Bond Uni’s Deon Evans-Ao Leifi have received call-ups.
Australian men’s sevens coach Liam Barry said: “It’s an exciting opportunity to play in Fiji for such a special event in the matches on Friday and Saturday.
“All four teams in the Gold Championship playing on the same day at the Accor Stadium is unprecedented and something our team does not take for granted.”
