Injury Notes: Mavericks, D. Murray, Haliburton, Bryant

Big men Saint Aldama (right knee) and Derek Lively II (right leg) continue to recover from relevant operations, while the guard Marcus Sasser dealing with left adductor tenderness.

Head coach Dusty May gave Lively a minor update before the game, according to Offset. The 22-year-old center, who is eligible for a rookie-scale extension until Oct. 19, has been limited to just 43 combined games over the past two years, including seven last season.

“I give it to the medical staff. I know it, he moves well” May said.”We see him regularly getting treatment, doing things on the court. There’s just a return-to-play protocol that everyone goes through. It’s a bit unique, but he’s in a good mood.

“He works every day and every time he comes back he’s going to have a big impact on this team.”
