Dak Prescott took a cleat to his throwing hand, but says he’s “perfectly fine”

Dak Prescott was sacked three times and had 12 hits with Texans pass rusher Will Anderson Jr. that lived in the Cowboys backfield. Still, his grief was a good pain.

The Cowboys won 34-31 as Prescott threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to CeeDee Lamb with 40 seconds left.

It was Prescott’s 85th regular season win, tying Roger Staubach for second most in franchise history behind Troy Aikman’s 94.

“It was fun,” Prescott said of facing the Texas pass rush, via Joseph Hoyt of the Dallas Morning News. “That’s football. I’m never going to shy away from it. I’m going to be a little sore, but I’m happy to be a little sore.”

Prescott had his right hand bandaged during his postgame press conference.

He said his hand was stepped on when he was pressured by Jadeveon Clowney midway through the second quarter. Prescott was called for intentional grounding on the play.

“Perfectly good,” Prescott said, via Jane Slater of NFL Media. “Just wrap it up so it doesn’t blow up … or more.”
