WWE Evolve star Brooks Jensen recalled how he became friends with Hall of Famer AJ Styles, a friendship that began during the pandemic.
Styles recently spoke with Jensen “AJ Styles Show:,” in which she stated that she doesn’t remember how she first met the young star, although she did admit that she knew her father, the former WWE star. Bull Buchanan. Jensen said he first became familiar with the Hall of Famer after training with him during the pandemic.
“So back then, during the pandemic, there were no shows, and there was a promoter named Todd Sexton that he ran a show called Southern Fried Wrestling in Georgia. And he and I got along great,” she began. “So we were on good terms and then one day he just texted me. He said: “Hey, AJ Styles needs some training. Would you like to drive to Cornelia?’ And Cornelia, Georgia is, say, about two and a half hours away from me. And again, I’m 18, 19 at the time. I didn’t have a car so I was trying to figure out how to get up there. So I asked my mom’s friend to convince her to let me take the car and drive the two and a half hours there. And yeah, since then, AJ and I have always been good friends.”
Jensen, who has been with WWE since 2021, spent several years on the NXT brand before moving to Evolve. Styles thinks highly of the 25-year-oldrecently claiming that Jensen will be one of the biggest stars to come out of NXT, noting that an injury briefly held him back, but that he was destined to rise.
