The Cowboys designated Tyler Smith to return from injured reserve earlier this week, and it appears he will come off that list Thursday.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Cowboys will be activated Smith before their Thursday night home game against the Buccaneers. Smith had thumb surgery before the start of the regular season and was listed as questionable on the team’s final injury report of the week.
Smith will likely return to left guard duty in his return to action. TJ Bass has held down his spot so far this season.
Wide receiver Jonathan Mingo (illness) is the only other player listed as questionable for the Cowboys for Thursday night.
