Speaking to reporters Thursday, including Sportsnet.ca’s Michael Grange and TSN.ca’s Josh Levenberg (Twitter references), the third year of the guard Jamal Shedd said his new extension with Predators assembled relatively quickly.
“I thought the offer they gave me was really fair. Frankly, above justice“, Shed said about his three-year, $24 million expansion. “They believe in me and we had a very good communication.
“… It’s good to be wanted, so I’ll do my best not to let it go to waste.”
Shead will earn $2.3 million this season before his extension kicks in during the 2027/28 campaign. The third year (’29/30) of his new contract is a team option, according to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto (via Twitter).
