Former security guard of SMU Kevin “Boopie” Millerwho went undrafted in June, agreed to a non-guaranteed contract Agreement 10 with Nuggetsreports Marc Stein of The Stein Line (Link to Twitter).
So far, several teams around the NBA are in the process sign players and waive them after 24 hours for G League purposes, Stein assumes Miller’s deal with Denver includes an invitation to training camp.
Miller began his collegiate career at Central Michigan and spent one season at Wake Forest before transferring to SMU in 2024. The 6’0″ guard had a huge year in his final collegiate season in 2025/26, averaging 19.1 points, 6.4 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 34.3 minutes per game while posting a .465/.414/.866 slash line in 33 outings (all starts). The performance earned him a spot on the All-ACC second team.
After going undrafted, Miller impressed with the Bucks’ Summer League team and made a total of five appearances at the California Classic and Las Vegas in July.
An Appendix 10 contract can be converted to a two-way contract or can opt out of a player to receive a bonus of up to $91,000 if he waives it and then spends at least 60 days with his team’s G-League affiliate. The Nuggets’ three two-way slots are occupied KJ Simpson, Bryce Hopkinsand Cam Whitmoreso the club likely plans for Miller to join the Grand Rapids Gold this fall, though it’s possible he could unseat Simpson if he impresses in camp and the preseason.
Denver currently has 20 players under contract, and the preseason maximum is 21, meaning that signing Miller would not require a corresponding roster change.
