The Wizards signed a free agent forward/center Shawl Labissiere to the Addendum 10 contract, the team announced today (via Twitter).
Washington refused Yazian Gortman to make room for Labissiere. Gortman also signed an add-10 deal and could head to the G League to play for the Capital City Go-Go’s, the Wizards’ affiliate.
Labissiere was the 26th pick in the 2016 draft and played out all four years of his NBA rookie contract. Still, the Haitian big man has mostly been out of the league over the past six years, aside from 10-day contracts with the Kings and Wizards each of the past two seasons.
In three games with Washington in the 2025/26 season, Labissiere averaged 4.3 points and 3.0 rebounds in 12.7 minutes per game. The 30-year-old has career averages of 7.0 PPG and 4.3 RPG in 17.1 MPG in 155 games.
Labissiere spent most of the last three years in the NBAGL with the Stockton Kings and Capital City. He was productive from the Go-Gos in ’25/26, averaging 19.5 PPG, 7.6 RPG, 2.5 APG and 1.9 BPG on .545/.409/.853 shooting in 48 games (31.5 MPG).
Assuming he is cleared before the season starts and spends at least 60 days with the Go-Go’s in 26/27, Labissiere will be eligible for a bonus of up to $91K on top of his regular G League salary.
Two other players were suspended on Monday, per NBA.com Transaction Log: Bykov security guard Isaiah Stevens and magic forward Mike Sharowiamts. Stevens was waived to create roster space Jordan Hawkinswhile Sharowiamts was expected to be released soon after he signed his Schedule 10 deal.
Magic officially signed and waived Jonelle Davis after cutting Sharowiamts (Twitter references). According to Jason Bead of The Orlando Sentinel, who first reported the Davis news, both Sharowiamts and Davis will likely play for the Osceola Magic to open the 2026-27 season.via Twitter).
