Jamarion Sharp To Sign With Raptors, Compete For Two-Way Spot

Free Agent Center Jamarion Sharpe signs with Predators and will compete for a two-way contract, according to Sportsnet.ca’s Blake Murphy (via Twitter).

Toronto’s preseason roster is currently at the 21-man cap, so the Raptors will have to give up someone to add Sharpe. The most likely candidates are those invited to the Appendix 10 training camps Tyreek-Key, Nate Beatle, This is Manny Burnett and Tyson Degenhart.

Murphy’s report suggests that Sharp will sign an Exhibit 10 deal that could be converted to a two-way contract as long as the player is eligible. Sharp fits the bill as he has no NBA experience.

Sharp spent Summer League with the Raptors, who were considering signing him to a two-way contract after he averaged 7.4 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.8 blocks in just 18.2 minutes per game in five appearances, according to Murphy. Instead, he signed a two-way deal with the Clippers in early August, but was waived in late September and has been without a team ever since.

Sharp, 25, was uncommitted from Ole Miss in 2024 and has since played primarily for the Texas Legends of the G League. The 7’5″ big man had a huge year for the Legends in 2025/26, earning a spot on the G League All-Defensive Team and to be named NBAGL Defensive Player of the Year after leading the league with 3.9 BPG in just 24.9 MPG.

An elite rim protector in both the G League and college, Sharp led the NCAA in blocks in 2021/22 (4.6 per game) and ’22/23 (4.1) while playing for Western Kentucky. He also led the SEC in blocks per game (2.4) in ’23/24 with Ole Miss, despitea average of only 15.8 mpg.

How our tracker show, three bilateral locations in Toronto are currently owned Chuckie Hepburn, Trey Jamison and Malachi Smith. If Sharp were to make the team, one of those players would have to be waived.
