Nikola Jovich admitted to feeling complacent after signing a four-year, $62 million extension before last season Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald relay. Jovic made the comments in an interview with Miami radio host Brendan Tobin.
“I wouldn’t say I was the smartest person off the court last year.” – said Jovich.
Jovic’s production dipped across the board last season, shooting just 36.6 percent from the field.
Klay Thompson stated to Tobin that the presence Bam Adebayo and Janice Antecumba had a big influence on his decision to join the Heat after buying out his contract with Dallas.
“Bam and Janis are the perfect modern-day leads. I’m pretty much here.” he said. “You always want to be surrounded by great talent. I’ve been blessed to go through my career with great, talented teammates, and Miami just matches that more than ever.”
