The Bykov signed contracts with three NBA veterans – Brandon Boston Jr, Orlando Robinson and Drew Peterson — signed training camp contracts and made their roster for next week’s camp, which begins on September 29 and runs through October 4 (Link to Twitter via Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic ).
In August 2025, “Boston” signed a contract with the Turkish “Fenerbahce”, and spent the last season abroad. The 6-foot-6 guard most recently played for the Milwaukee Summer League, averaging 11.0 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in seven games (19.3 minutes per game). His shooting percentage in that small sample was .481/.479/1000.
It’s worth noting that Boston’s last NBA stint was with the Pelicans during the 2024/25 campaign. New Bulls head of basketball operations Bryson Graham was the general manager of New Orleans at the time.
Robinson, a 6-foot-10 center, spent most of last season on a two-way deal with the Magic before being terminated in late February. The 26-year-old big man most recently represented Team USA during July and August qualifying windows until the 2027 World Cup.
Meanwhile, Peterson spent two seasons with Boston on two-way deals before signing a two-way contract with Charlotte last year. The 6’8″ forward was waived by the Hornets in December 2025 and finished last season with Detroit’s NBAGL affiliate, Motor City Cruise.
The Bulls will enter training camp with 14 players on guaranteed standard contracts, two on two-way deals and five players on non-guaranteed deals in camp, with the other two Peter Suder and Houston briefcase.
Any of the five camp invitees could theoretically claim the 15th and final spot on the standard roster, but only Peterson, Suder and Mallett are eligible for the third two-way spot. Boston and Robinson are not eligible to sign a two-way contract because both have four years of NBA experience.
