The door is open for that Michael “Venom” Page return to bare-knuckle boxing.
Page finished his
Ultimate Fighting Championship contract for a unanimous decision victory Nursultan Ruziboev at
UFC Paris. Despite going 5-1 in the UFC, “Venom” was unable to secure a single finish and his victories remained elusive, prompting the promotion to decide to re-sign him.
Dave Feldman welcomes the potential return of Michael Page after his UFC run
Dave Feldman talked about his interest in Page in an interview
Bloody elbow. The president of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship is still unsure of Page’s status in the UFC, so he hasn’t made a move yet, but wants the Englishman to compete again in his promotion.
“I don’t know if his contract is actually up,” Feldman said. “It’s a pretty quick time to finish his contract, so I don’t want to make any moves on him yet. We’d certainly welcome an MVP. If he was fighting for us Mike Perryit was a pretty exciting match and a lot of people thought he won the fight.
Feldman further emphasized that the BKFC format brought out a different version of Page.
“You really can’t be bored in BKFC, so it’s hard for him to put up this type of fight in BKFC,” added Feldman. “Would we be interested? Yes. I think BKFC will force the excitement out of MVP and I think the fans would love that.”
Page faced Mike Perry at BKFC in 2022, losing a close fight by majority decision.
