As for why he’s always been so disliked, he said it’s because the fans want the underdog to win and he’s always been in the main title. Flair said being away from the titles he’s become synonymous with has helped his career, as well as sharing what he went through behind the scenes in his own life.
“Me showing my flaws and things that I’ve been through in my personal life and really being like, ‘It’s okay not to be that perfect (image) that you think is the champion,'” Flair explained.
