West Ham moved, at least temporarily, to the top of the championship as they secured an emphatic 6-0 win over Wrexham.

And, once Jarrod Bowen put West Ham ahead in the 28th minute, there was never any doubt that they would extend that run to four games.
Captain Bowen turned deftly at the near post after Morato’s low ball from the left.
Nine minutes later it was 2-0 when Joel Piroe hit the roof of the net following Taty Castellanos’ dismissal after the Argentine beat Wrexham’s offside trap.
Konstantinos Mavropanos headed home to make it 3-0 three minutes into the second half, and Castellanos put the game beyond doubt when he found the bottom left corner at the end of a quick counter-attack.
Mohamadou Kante turned the game into a thrashing by brilliantly controlling Manor Solomon’s lofted pass and crashing home a fifth, and Solomon completed West Ham’s best performance of the season when he fired home from the edge of the box.
West Ham move a point clear of West Brom, who face QPR on Saturday, at the top. Wrexham, who narrowly missed out on the play-offs last season, have just one win from their opening seven games.
