After returning to NXT a few months ago, Grayson Waller was outspoken and full of confidencetwo things that arguably drove him his current reign as NXT Champion. And Waller not only thinks he deserves it, he thinks he deserves it easily more than anyone else. in an interview with “Opened after dark” following a showdown with Halloween Havoc rival Tony D’AngeloWaller explained why he is better than everyone else and why others in NXT, like D’Angelo, were unable to advance.
“I work on everybody here,” Waller said. “I don’t just say it, I do it. And then also planning it for everyone else. Let me ask you Bully; let’s go back to when you’re on the Raw roster. Some new guy comes from another company and he comes and he calls your list soft and he makes fun of your kid and says you didn’t deserve everything Gorla. he across the face… Just like that.
“And he didn’t hit me until tonight. What is it, four months? It took four months of him and all of that before he finally hit me. Like, that’s why I keep calling these guys soft. Like, will you let me out? I can’t believe I’m getting away with this. I went to his house and he did all the things he did if I let you have a double leg. home, you know what I mean?”
Waller will be finished retaining his championship against D’Angelo at Halloween Destructionthough now he faces a tougher challenge against the former man Waller has been compared to over the past few months: CM Punk. The two are set to headline tonight’s “NXT” Wednesday special, with Punk challenging Waller for the NXT Title.
