Dalen Terrynew two-year contract with Thunder is non-guaranteed this season and has a team option for 2027/28, league sources tell HoopsHype’s Michael Scott (Link to Twitter). Oklahoma City signed the 24-year-old guard earlier today after early-season injuries depleted wing depth, and coach Mark Dyno talked before tonight’s game about how Terry can help the team (Link to video on Twitter by Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman).
“He’s someone our front office has liked for a long time,” Dyno said. “They liked him when he was draft-eligible. He came to practice in the draft, so he was a guy who’s been on their radar for a long time. I like the physical profile, obviously. He’s got great wing size, length and athleticism. He plays tough, with a good motor, on the defensive end of the floor. He’s a great transition player. He’s a great crasher on the offensive glass. He checks the boxes for activity with athleticism and movement.”
Terry, the 18th pick in the 2022 draft, was able to get his last opportunity two weeks into the season refused Golden State last month. He was on the active roster but did not see any playing time in tonight’s win over Cleveland.

I’m coming to a place where I don’t know anyone, I have no support other than family and friends. You guys have welcomed me with open arms. That’s why I’m truly grateful.”
