Kelani Jordan remains the NXT Women’s Champion after defending her gold against surprise opponent Paige. A special Wednesday edition of WWE NXT. After Jordan successfully defended his title against Ren Sinclair At Halloween Havoc, NXT General Manager Robert Stone said backstage that the fledgling brand would face a mystery opponent at the weekly show.
Jordan took Paige down, but couldn’t keep her there for long before Paige got back to her feet, hitting the champion’s face into the spinning pads. Paige cannonballed Jordan on the outside, but Jordan tried to regain momentum by targeting Paige’s neck.
The champion went to the top rope for a 450 Splash but Paige rolled out of the way and caught her with a superkick and then a Rampage but Jordan kicked out. Jordan locked in a crossface on Paige, again targeting her neck in the middle of the ring, then hit a DDT as Paige broke the hold.
Paige knees Jordan’s split legs for a moonsault. He tried another Rampage, but Jordan rolled him up for the win.
