As we head into the MLB race, it’s a great time to take a look at the standings. A few quick takeaways:
In the American League, once you get outside of the AL East, everything is a wonderful mess. Some might call it parity, others mediocrity. The third-place wild card race is a perfect example, with seven teams within five games of each other and five teams with losing records.
The NL appears stronger, with the Milwaukee Brewers giving the Los Angeles Dodgers a run for the best record, with several other teams hot on their heels. And Shohei Ohtani is receiving a big challenge in the NL MVP race.
