Raptors Convert Bradley To Standard Contract, Smith To Two-Way

15:19: Smith’s move from an Annex 10 deal to a bilateral contract made official, trans NBA.com Transaction Log.

14:12: Predators transformed Jaden BradleyToday, the team announced a two-way deal with a multi-year standard contract (Link to Twitter via Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca).

As Murphy points out, Toronto is pushing for its first apron, but it had enough room below that threshold to move Bradley up to No. 14 on the standard list. The Raptors are now $964K off the first apron and about $1M in the luxury tax zone for Yossi Gozlan of CapSheets.com.

According to Michael Scott of HoopsHype (Link to Twitter), Bradley received a four-year, $9.3 million contract from the Raptors, who used excluding second round picks to complete the signing. League sources say Scott is only on the first year of his deal.

The exact value of Bradley’s new standard contract will be $9,264,648. He will make $1.36 million this season, which is the rookie minimum, and that will also be his cap hit. The fourth year of the deal is a team option.

The No. 50 pick in June’s draft, Bradley averaged 13.3 points, 4.4 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals on .463/.394/.809 shooting in 39 games as a senior for Arizona last season (30.6 minutes per game).

The 6-foot-3 guard helped the Wildcats go 36-3 in the 2025-26 season and reach the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament. Bradley earned numerous honors during his senior season, including Big 12 Player of the Year, a spot on the conference’s all-defensive team, Big 12 Tournament MVP and third-team All-American recognition from the NABC, TSN and USBWA.

The Raptors won’t waste any time filling the spot previously held by Bradley. Guard Malachi Smithwho at the present time in the Exhibit 10 trade for training camp, will be converted to a two-way contract, according to Scott (via Twitter).

Smith, 26, went undrafted out of Gonzaga in 2023 and played in the G League for most of his first three pro seasons before committing to the Nets last March. The 6’4″ shooting guard signed a pair of 10-day contracts with Brooklyn before agreeing to a two-year, minimum-salary deal.

Smith’s deal included a second-year team option for 2026-27, which the Nets is carried out in June. However, his $2.15 million salary remained completely non-guaranteed, and he was refused last month as Brooklyn sought to maximize its cap space.

Smith played regularly on a lottery-bound Nets team and was relatively productive in his first 15 NBA games (four starts), averaging 8.3 ppg, 3.3 ppg and 3.4 ppg at 23.9 mpg on .485/.435/1000 shooting. Prior to his NBA call-up, he averaged 14.4 ppg, 5.7 ppg and 5.6 ppg in 39 outings (28.7 mpg) in the G League for the Long Island Nets on a .520/.422/.769 shooting line.
