The Pelicans signed and refused Aziz BandaogoKeith Smith reports for Spotrac (Link to Twitter).
It’s unclear when the team signed the Senegalese big man, but he was waived on Wednesday. He probably signed Exhibition 10 deal to receive a bonus of up to $91,000 (in addition to his regular salary) to play for New Orleans’ G League affiliate, the Laketown Squadron, which recently acquired his G League rights for at least 60 days.
Bandaogo played five collegiate seasons, finishing his career at Cincinnati, where he spent his junior and senior years. The 25-year-old 7’0″ center played 28 games for Büyükcekmece in Turkey last season, averaging 7.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in just 18.4 minutes per game.
He played three games for the Raptors in the 2026 Summer League, recording six points, eight rebounds and six blocks in 19.9 minutes.
