Vettori (19-10) has lost four fights in a row
Ultimate Fighting Championship and is about to face
Ismail Naurdiev (25-8) at UFC 332 Oct. 3 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. The Italian recently revealed that they have parted ways
America’s Top Team and turned back
Kings MMA.
Beneil Dariush takes over as Vettori’s head coach ahead of UFC 332
While Vettori has no complaints against ATT, he believes the gym didn’t get the best of him. The former title contender has returned to his roots in California, where he trained as a middleweight. While the Kings MMA team he used to train with no longer exists in the same form, Vettori says he now trains with Beneil Dariush as his head coach.
“I made some changes…I’m back in California,” Vettori told MMA Fighting. “I had to find myself again and I did. I feel good. I’m actually excited to fight … I went back to my roots and went back to what made me a fighter who won five in a row and fought for the title … ATT, I have nothing but great things to say. I feel like it didn’t give its best … (My new team) there is no longer one Kings that been even MA; Beneil Dariush as the head coach and I went back to my boxing coach, to your S&C coach.
Vettori trained at Kings MMA from 2015 to 2022 before a brief stint
Xtreme Couture. “The Italian Dream” then moved to Florida in 2023 to train at ATT.
Marvin Vettori went back to his original team Beneil Dariush in front of “finding yourself again”. #UFC332:
“I’m actually excited about the fight.. Going back to my roots and going back to what made me a fighter with five straight wins and a title fight.”
