15th place Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) weight Marcus McGhee was bound to collide with an exciting prospect Bernardo Sopaj on UFC 332 “Prelims” this weekend (Saturday, October 3, 2026) at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Unfortunately, this bang is no longer happening.
Sopaj has withdrawn from the event, but McGhee remains on the card and welcomes the newcomer Anthony Romero octagon at short notice.
McGhee (11-2) returned to the win column in his most recent appearance with a forfeit John Yannis by unanimous decision at UFC Vegas 118.
Romero (7-2) enters the UFC riding a two-fight winning streak and is coming off a 25-second knockout of the former LFA standout. Yuma Horiuchi.
The 26-year-old has an 86 percent strikeout rate, with four knockouts and two submissions among his seven professional wins. Romero trains out of the iconic Black House MMA gym in California and is looking to announce his arrival by upsetting a ranked contender on short notice.
It’s a tough UFC debut, but it also represents a huge opportunity.
