“Jordan Burroughs is gone, that’s all,” Tsarukyan said at the RAF 14 post-match press conference. “If he loses to wrestlers who aren’t top level wrestlers like an Olympian or a world champion, there’s no point wrestling him now. He’s got to come back, wrestle and beat an Olympian… even if I wrestle him, he’s got to be No. 1 in the RAF.”
Burroughs, 38, won a gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics, has six world titles and two Division 1 national championships at the University of Nebraska.
“I’m looking for someone else,” Tsarukyan, 30, said. “We’ve got a lot of names here, but I’m going to focus on the big-name MMA fighters. I don’t want to just wrestle the no-names. I want to get all the big names, all the best fighters. A lot of UFC fighters, a lot of good fighters signed (with the RAF), so we’ll see. If they brought in, maybe (Georges) I could. Fight him.”
