“Sean called me and asked me to come and meet him. Sean gave me a chance and I decided to go and do it,” he said. “So I didn’t look at it as a demotion because I’m on TV every week.”
Waller said he’s enjoying his current stint with NXT, adding that it’s the best he’s felt since his previous stint with the brand in WWE. He admits that he might have been let go if he hadn’t returned to NXT due to the amount of talented stars that were called up to the main roster.
“It was the best few months of my life. It was so good. Yeah dude, I love it. I find it’s been years since I’ve really felt like myself since I was last in NXT because he just let me go,” Waller added. “I am always upfront and honest in situations. I could see the writing on the wall (on the main roster). They bring up these kids from NXT who are super talented and give them every opportunity while I’m in the background, disappearing. it will work out, but I have confidence in my ability and I just needed a platform.”
