September 19: The signing is official, team tweets.
June 25: The Wizards reached an agreement to sign the undrafted free agent KeShawn Murphy to Schedule 10 of the contract, reports John Chepkiewicz of DraftExpress (Link to Twitter).
Murphy spent four years at Mississippi State, including a redshirt freshman year, before transferring to Auburn for his final year of NCAA eligibility in 2025-26. A Bulldogs reserve, the 6’10” forward entered the starting lineup as a Tiger and averaged 10.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 23.9 minutes per game in 31 games last season.
In his report, Chepkiewicz highlights Murphy’s defensive versatility, noting that he averaged 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per game with Auburn despite not playing very many minutes. He was a participant in this year’s invitational tournament in Portsmouth.
The Annex 10 contract is a non-guaranteed deal in training camp that can be converted to a two-way contract before the start of the regular season. It is most often used to secure a player’s G League rights and/or to ensure that he will receive a bonus worth up to a projected $91K if he spends at least 60 days with an NBAGL team affiliate.
