“Good news travel fast! David Ferrer will be joining the team next year and needless to say, we are all really excited about what lies ahead,” Rudd wrote.
Ferrer announced on October 15 that he is renouncing the last year of his contract with the Spanish federation.
According to Ruud’s father, Christian Ruud, and Pedro Clar are already part of his team Norwegian daily newspaper VG. The full composition of the team in 2027 has not been announced.
Rudd made the announcement hours after losing 6-4, 6-4 to second seed and world No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz of Spain, 23, in the semi-finals of the Rolex Paris Masters. Rudd, a three-time Grand Slam finalist and former world No. 2, has reached one final, in Rome in 2026.
