“If it was for the lightweight title, that would be great because I can get that win back as well,” Volkanovski said. Obviously, nothing against him, he’s a great fighter, a great guy, we get along.”
“But at the same time, I am a competitor and I would like to test myself against him,” continued Volkanovski. “How that would work is probably a no-brainer. If Gaethje retires, maybe I’ll find someone. Win, lose or draw, I’m retiring, so I’m not holding up the division. It’s something very exciting. And I think everybody should be involved.”
