Things didn’t quite go to plan tonight (Sat. Sept. 26, 2026) at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas for UFC Vegas 121 live on Paramount+, but at the end of the action there are two new Ultimate Fighter the winners were crowned and given UFC contracts.
Tina Black vs. Melissa Amaya
First up was the match between Tina Black and Melissa Amaya. Black came into Saturday’s women’s strawweight final as the betting favorite thanks to her experience and ability to finish opponents, but Amaya has proven to be one tough cookie. It came up again during the curtain raiser to the UFC Vegas 121 main card, but it didn’t end the way Amaya wanted.
As expected, Black’s speed and power on the feet quickly came into play and really started to beat up Amaya’s face. Amaya fought back though and landed the first punch that rocked Black, a nice power punch of her own. This success was temporary as Black quickly pushed the pace in the second round and landed huge combinations to knock Amaya to the canvas. Black quickly followed with a heavy ground and pound as the referee intervened.

Men’s model Ottoman vs Ilimbek Akylbek
Next was the weight loss final between Mehemmedeli Osmanli and Ilimbek Akylbek. Osmanli was the betting favorite this weekend given his eye-popping agility and all-round skills as an up-and-coming prospect. However, Akylbek wanted to play spoiler and pass on his success TUF for his official Octagon debut.
Unfortunately for all involved, Osmanli accidentally hit an illegal knee early in the first round that hit Akylbek in the post and put him out for the count. The referee took a while to wave the fight away, but the replay showed indisputable evidence that the knee was illegal and landed on Akylbek.
As a result, Akylbek left with a UFC contract based on a win and a win by disqualification. Check out the video highlights below:
