I can’t scroll through my Instagram feed without seeing a pair of Pluto Golf P1s on some course I’ll never play.
And that’s a good thing.
Especially if you are Pluto Golf.
Why else would you break into a market dominated by legacy brands like FootJoy and sports giants like NIKE and adidas?
Whatever the strategy is for the young brand, it’s working. This week, Pluto Golf is preparing to launch the sequel to the P1.
Just called the P2, it combines a familiar look with new technology, including SoftSpikes traction, which should translate into better performance on the course.
The P2 pays homage to a host of iconic sneakers with design cues woven into every piece of the shoe. It’s a tribute to streetwear as much as golf culture, and that’s what I love so much.

It’s definitely not the golf shoe for everyone. But it is undoubtedly the golf shoe for the golfer who makes sneaker contact before eye contact. Because for some of us, what’s in the bag doesn’t matter as much as what’s on our feet.
