And as long as the NFL still puts out football plays, I’ll have draft rankings for all you fake football players out there. There are many drafting software that can help you when you sit down to pick your team, but are they free to my standards? Will it be? No. Probably not.
My steps are just like any other step you’ll find in the wild, but these are in PDF form and printable! This new cheat technology has disrupted the entire virtual football market! I always write from published rankings because it’s easier to see all the positions and players on one page ranked by the same value to see the overall picture of the draft. Give it to him!
Josh Jacob’s first court hearing has been pushed back two months to September 17. It’s hard to predict how this will shake out, but at least it looks like we’ll know as of late. For now, I’m avoiding Jacobs, but I’m not reaching for Marshawn Lloyd. It’s high, but enough recovery to risk it.
It looks like Khalil Shakir is close to returning from an undisclosed injury for Week 1. We’ll see what the practice reports tell us next week, but for now he’s safe to draft.
Treveon Henderson is dealing with an ankle injury that has kept him out of practice for two weeks. We’ll see if he can return to practice for Week 1.
Zay Flowers looks set to return to practice and play Week 1. Chances are this will be an exciting fantasy year for flowers.
Mike Evans returned to training and appeared ready for a week of training ahead of Wednesday night’s game against the Rams in Australia.
Josh Jacobs entered the league’s free agent list. It is not yet known how long he will be on it or how long the ban will last. We have not heard any reports that could lead us to this stage. That said, we have to be careful and only draft Jacob if he falls so low that it doesn’t hurt our team.

If Jacob misses time, Marshawn Lloyd will get a big raise. It’s still hard to believe his health and the aforementioned unknown Jacobs timeline. I feel that someone will drop both backs earlier than I do.
Jordin Tyson was placed on the PUP list to start the season, causing him to miss at least four games. This would help boost Chris Olave and Juan Johnson, while Alvin Kamara is not on the PUP list, but should miss some time to start the season. That should give Travis Etienne a nightmare start.
2026 virtual draft strategy
First of all, I want to grab two running backs from Level 2. If I had the first or second pick, I’d take Jahmir Gibbs or Bijan Robinson. That gives me tremendous floor and upside and allows me to take the best option between wide receiver and running back.
Second, I like the first three levels of wide receivers. Once I get my two running backs, I want to go hard to grab the Tier 3 or Tier 2 wide receivers if they fall.
Third, the tight ends are deep this year and I don’t feel the need to use a high pick on one of the true studs. I’ll catch someone from Level 3. If I happen to miss all the tees from step 3, I’ll probably grab a couple of tight ends for stream, if I don’t have really short benches, and then I’ll stretch them over the removal wire.
At quarterback, I’ve also seen depth at quarterback. Of course I like Josh Allen, but I think the strategic move is to wait, especially in home leagues where QBs are often held first. Which QB I get will probably depend a lot on how the draft goes. If we get to the 6th or 7th round and someone falls from the 2nd round, I’ll take it. If not, I feel pretty good about getting a level 4 Jackson Dart from a level 4 guy, since he spends a lot of time in the med tent.
Fifth, I almost always wait for the last two rounds for skirmish and defense. This is tried and true and I stick to it, but if somehow Brandon Aubrey drops enough, and I’m in a league that only starts QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, FLEX, K, D/ST, then the kicker will take a good chunk of your total points each week. Aubrey is going to have 20 point weeks and average in double figures. That could be the edge. Also make sure to check out the kicker score. If they give you a big boost for 50 and 60 yard field goals, try getting O’Brien.
